The Geological Society of London - Hong Kong Regional Group

The Geological Society of London was formed in 1807 and is the UK national society for geoscience. Following validation of member's training and experince, the Geological Society awards the title "Chartered Geologist" (CGeol) as a mark of professionalism.
The Hong Kong Regional Group (HKRG) of the Geological Society was formed in May 2001 to promote the geological profession and the role of geologists in Hong Kong, in addition to promoting professional accreditation for geologists in Hong Kong .
The HKRG is the leading representative group for professional geologists in Hong Kong and all Fellows of the Geological Society who are resident in the HKSAR are entitled to be members of the HKRG.
